Okay, I’m watching MTV 2. What’s on? A rap group called _Blacksheep_. The video? A Carhart-wearing rapper is singing, leaning a bit, a thuggy look on his face, with a couple of guys at his side flashing gang signs every so often, and folks dancing in the background. They’ll cut away to the folks dancing, and zoom in on a good, thick jiggly booty every so often. Sigh. ---

_Sigh_ I miss the good old days when music was music: Sugar Sugar (Number 1 song of 1969, if memory serves), My Baby Does the Hanky Panky, Yummy Yummy Yummy I Got Love in My Tummy . . . and these were _popular_ songs. ---

I was talking about the electronic music they usually play on the radios and TV stations, because Lobsang was complaning that all the _pop_ and _hip hop_ music they play on the radio and TV is crap. I listen to other electronica that doesn’t loop. I suppose I should’ve added a “that type” to it. ---

I’m with Jin. Audioslave is the modern damn yankees/traveling wilburys. Likewise with zwan. Blah, blah,blah. Very little originality, really. Nothing wrong with electronica, as long as you’re in the mood for it. It’s all just, as several pointed out here, subjective. Me? I’ll take Reverend Horton Heat over Audioslave any day. Prefer Patricia Barber to Diana Krall, and Galaxie 500 to most modern rock. Though I must say, hip-hop is scoring points, quick, inventive lyrics and pseudo-original beats and drops, I hope it keeps on morphing. ---

How dare you say Audioslave sucks? To all those who say it sucks, you know your favourite band will achieve the perfectness or indyness and all those other nesss except Elliot Ness, that is inherent in everything Audioslave does! They aren’t fit to hold Audioslave’s jockstrap! 😉 ---

**Aslan of Narnia** : I’m sorry, but a recent study amongst the world’s top scientists has determined that Audioslave consists of almost 100% shite (with smatterings of lemon juice). I disagree with them. I think Audioslave consists of almost all that is great in the world of early '90s music. Somehow, when mixed together it just came out as a grinding mess, rock whose grandiosity is only exceeded by its ability to inflict pain upon the listener. ---

I don’t mind any music, or at least I used to not mind about any music, but when you see Justin Timberlakes ‘rock you’re body’ every single time, and Pink and a whole other load of craptacular wanna-be gangsters it just makes the music not worth listening to anymore.
