In the erly days of MTV, musicians did some spots for it. I can only remember \*\*Pete Townsend \*\*and **Mark Knofler** , but there were probably others. ---

On the flip side, Neil Young refuses to sing for commercials. He even wrote a song about it. Ain’t singin’ for Pepsi Ain’t singin’ for Coke I don’t sing for nobody Makes me look like a joke **This note’s for you.** John Densmore also refuses to allow Doors songs to be used for commercial purposes.
