Fashion does not need a reason. Saying it’s a rebellion against being boringly clean cut doesn’t make particular sense; moustaches were popular amongst establishment sportsmen in the seventies for example.

Some people start doing something, then some more people start doing it then it gets old and people start doing something else.

Cerulean then not cerulean. Ain’t no reason.
