I caught a song on the radio yesterday, the lyrics being something about bringing hope to ‘my africa’. It sounds relatively new, and I think it may have been on a christian station, but I could be off about this. I know it’s pittifully little to go with, but can anyone ID this for me? The term ‘my africa’ or ‘in africa’ was repeated a lot, if that helps. ---

Sadly, no, it’s neither of these. It didn’t seem to have a narraitve. Just a lot of hopeful sentiment about having faith for the future of Africa. If I hear it again, I’ll try to catch more of the lyrics. ---

Update- Heard it again yesterday, and they still didn’t say the name or artist. (Grr). I did copy down some of the chorus, though- “Heaven, send your peace, to africa, to africa. Heaven, shine your light, on africa, on africa. Oh heaven, rain your love, on africa, on africa, Heaven, I need you to (hear? heal?) my africa, my africa…” Anyone else know what the heck song this is? I want to get a copy, so it’s driving me nuts! ---

I heard this one the other day (didn’t do anything for me, either), and surprisingly a search for phrases from the lyrics isn’t helping. If I have this in my head for hours, somebody’s gonna pay. ---
