How’d you translate it?

Ok, a happy update.
I applied for AEON and was granted a group interview next weekend! Take that JET! Things are looking good, but there’s one part that worries me a tad. From the e-mail:

No… sorry, that was from a Japanese travel agency that I translate to look for cheap tickets. Here’s what I meant to copy-pasta:
Since it says the ‘students’ will have a very basic level of English, I was thinking about teaching some basic nouns and then pairing it with a grammar lesson. The grammar lesson would focus on the ko-so-a-do words in Japanese, or this, that by you, that over there, and which? I was thinking about making props of some common objects, and then having the students pair up and make dialogues, such as “this is a pen. that is an apple,” in which case student 1 would be holding a pen and student 2 would be holding an apple.
Did that make sense to you guys? In any case, I’m pretty excited. Just in case, I’m applying to GEOS and some other smaller companies as well. がんばります！(gambarimasu)(I will do my best!)

I’ve got a Japanese friend who runs a small school, and called him but he isn’t hiring. If you send me your resume, I’ll forward it to him in case something happens.
I used to interview teachers for him, and probably interviewed 150 or so over the years.
Some (unasked for) advice:
If you have experience in drama or anything in public speaking, make sure it’s on your resume. Schools are looking for genki teachers.
Volunteer or get a part time job teaching English in the States, then get the person in charge to agree to be a reference. If I had 1,000 yen for each person who claimed they did this, but couldn’t supply references, then I could have covered my Super Bowl losses.
Get any job which brings you over, no matter how bad it is. Once here, you can get a better job.
