My girlfriend was slicing a bagel with a steak knife and ended up plunging the knife into the side of her hand. We got her all bandaged up, I cleaned the blood off the knife, went to finish the job for her and stabbed myself in exactly the same way. So, yeah, but it healed up completely, so there is no actual scar to show for it. Just a lingering terror of slicing bagels and a preference to just eat them uncut, as is. Onion bagels.
Jesus appeared to me as a 9 year old child while I was still a believer for the salvation of 75-80 dead souls including myself.
Sounds like something Satan would say.
but you don’t care about the souls you damned to hell on this message board between your start date and the date you began your witnessing?
Including the ones you’re currently damning to hell with your nonsensical gibberish?
But if you are wrong, you damn your eternal soul to the lake of fire.
Right - which is exactly what Adam and Eve did to themselves and THE REST OF ALL HUMANITY FOR TIME IMMEMORIAL when they listened to a dis-embodied voice that spoke to them.
And they were innocent - since they clearly did not have the knowledge of ‘good and evil’ - so they didn’t know that they were being decieved, by this ‘other’ spirit voice in the garden.
So - back to you **scottRP ** - how do you KNOW the difference between a good s an evil spirt? doesn’t satan disguise himself as an angel of light in order to decieve 9 year olds?
[QUOTE= 2nd Corinthians 11]
14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness.

I’m not seeing the connection … Jesus appears to nine-year-old … 75-80 dead soul saved … I’d like some infill here if you don’t mind … as a True Believer, your soul was saved; why did your “dead soul” need more salvation? Are we talking about peoples who are “dead to the Holy Spirit” … or are we talking about the souls of dead peoples?
Any priest of just about any denomination on the face of this planet would have a greater education in Theology and the Scriptures than you’ve evidenced here. And your “insights” don’t seem to match what verses you’re basing them on, as Fear Itself so ably showed.
Why would you wish to have chosen such? You evidently don’t think much of the RCC priests or that church’s actual teachings.
What you’re posting here doesn’t match up with the Roman Catholic Church’s teachings. How do you explain that?
Given your comment about the priests (not to mention your, let’s call it variance from RCC teachign), I’d say that your priest’s response quite likely will not be what you seem to think it will be.

There are those of heaven who already know how well I am doing.
Really, now? And who would those be? After all, Judgment Day hasn’t arrived yet.
A good many of his beliefs don’t line up with Catholicism. Biblical literalism, “Only Christians Are Saved” (not necessarily the case), no acceptance of evolution, etc. None of it goes with what I learned in school.

Instead of saving starving children, you think your god is spending time spamming you with Christian videos? This thread isn’t really about your god, is it?
The God of Malware, maybe?

… but you’ve been tempted of late … I hear the whispering of Satan from here, “It was a freak accident, it won’t happen again” … you’ve been in envy of that steak knife, your own lust to have sliced bagels is drawing you closer … just pick up the knife, Satan promises it won’t cut you, just one quick slice and cream cheese room thou makest …
I say BEWARE, do not covet thy neighbor’s sliced onion bagel, dread and destruction lies along that path … content thyself with your onion bagel as God Almighty intended it, whole and fruitful … with corned beef and sauerkraut toasted just so.

Sometimes, one most read between the lines. It is a real life experience showing Jesus as the Son of God and the one true Messiah.
How would the experience have differed if, say, an evil deceiver had been at work?

Your evil one is pathetic. I covet not any sliced bagel, and especially not toasted. Nor am I particularly fond of those other things. It is not a question of being strong. I am just not into that stuff. But thanks for trying.

As usual your witnessing is about you, not anyone else. If you were truly interested in witnessing you would attempt to engage me, a mislead pagan (by your definition) and lead me to christ. Instead you have ignored my buddhist witnessing because you don’t have the slightest clue how to respond to me.
Good luck to you.
Ya know, it’s really difficult to expect him to not use “breathe” where “breath” is apparently the word he wants us to read, if people are going to use “mislead” in place of “misled.”
I’m thinking the OP is going to find himself with enough to atone for on his own behalf next time he goes to confessional (c.f. Monty’s post above). Miracles still happen so perhaps coremelt hasn’t thrown the hook and he can still be reeled in to the Light.

Why 75-80? why that specific range?

On what basis does Jesus choose the people he will appear to?
Similarly, how do aliens choose the people they abduct/probe?

Similarly, how do aliens choose the people they abduct/probe?
They only probe the attractive ones.

Wait a tick… Bricker posted in this thread?

Nice catch … I meaned Monty … I’ll ask a moderator to change that for me.

Skeptical Inquiry is an unreliable source because they base their information primarily on what others have told them and not on their own research and experience. My claims are based on my personal experience and research.
Actually, Skeptical Inquirer is a reliable source because they base their information primarily on empirical evidence. Your claims are based on anecdotes. FTFY.

I have seen the truth for you. You needn’t think about it. Just believe.
Wait… what other people say is unreliable, but we shouldn’t check into any of this for ourselves, we should just take your word for it? :dubious:
