Hey, this is a Pit thread about why _I am an asshole_! Let’s make it coherent! While I get the meta thing going on between adhay and the mods, this should be all about me. Me. Me. Me. I’m a jerk. A year and a half ago I posted something about Lenin’s _Imperialism_ which intrigued and/or pissed off adhay. He has been carrying about this new appreciation/anger since then and finally mentions it. Discuss. ---

I maintained that Lenin had been right on in his indictment of international capital and that his analysis of global corporate conglomeration/imperialism could be easily extrapolated to what we look upon today, both in our foreign and domestic policies. You (correct me if I’m wrong), having been the only respondent who had actually _read_ Imperialism, expressly said (among other things) that it had much to say about the nature of capital and that a it offered a good of basis for understanding what we look at today. My thread title was unfortunate and, of course, I was carpet bombed with nitpicks by right wing obstructionists and left wing ignoramuses. You gamely hung in for 7 posts and called it a day when it became clear that the OP was never going to be seriously addressed.
