Another poster mentioned Noam Chomsky, but this observation dates back to Alexis 'd Tocqueville in the early 19th century. But it is certainly true. Chomsky is an excellent example. I don’t agree with much of what he has to say, but there isn’t any pundit/yapping head anywhere near as smart as Chomsky, but he gets zero mainstream media traction. Same with others like him.
