my aussie Haven is a lot like this on so many levels and more… she is only a year and I am looking forward to many more years to come of her talking and learning…we are lucky to have such beautiful dogs…

My 9 month old Aussie Isabella does that too. She has what I like to call the “huff”  
cuz it sounds like she’s saying huff (might be the weird grunting sound you’re talking about), and she also has an arf & happy growl.
