# My baby died

HI SadDad,

I posted this before, but I will again. When I found out I was preggers was thrilled to find out that a close friend of mine was also pregnant. We did the prenatal classes together and compared notes alot. It was fun, she was about two weeks behind me so I got to tell her what she could expect. I was due end of January, she the first few weeks of Feb.

On New Years Day I got a call from her sister. It seems my friend noticed lack of fetal movement and went in for an Ultrasound. The baby had died from a clot in the umbilical cord.

I had no idea how to provide any comfort even less because I was a walking reminder of what she lost. It was an impossible situation and her and her husband went through a lot of pain and grief.

They recovered from the pain, and went on to have a son. Although they still think of the daughter they lost, it doesn’t have the same sharp jab of agony that it did at the beginning.

I am sorry for your loss. It hurts to lose a baby at any stage.

**SadDad** , I hope you didn’t think that I used the phrase “hysterical pregnancy” to imply something negative-I simply used it as one of the terms for a false pregnancy, or what have you.
