Getty is in surgery now (4:30 pm Pacific). It could go to maybe 6 pm. No real updates to speak of. Waiting anxiously. We were pretty calm heading into it, but at the very moment you hand your child over to a stranger knowing all you can do is hope for the best, it hits you like a ton of bricks. ---

Surgery is done! **SUCCESS!** Getty is resting comfortably. The BiPAP breathing machine is doing its job. Stats look good. She is so beautiful! 😛 ---

Yay on the successful surgery!! I’d bet the whole thing has been much harder on you parents than on her! Do write some letters about the clusterfuck with the mask and formula - there is absolutely NO Excuse for that crap especially the mask. Hospital, can’t get the right mask?? Bullshit. ---
