On Friday, I had to put down my little girl, Sadie Mae. It was a roller coaster ride, especially the last day, of the vets finding something that was treatable, to her having seizures, and back and forth. Ended up being cancer - mast cell tumor - that I had been asking them to checkout for months, but kept getting the answer “we don’t think that has anything to do with it, so we’re going to put that on the back burner for now until we figure out the big problem”. She was a rescue from the county shelter and I’d had her since 2000 and she was a couple years older than that. She was and always will be daddy’s little girl. I’m just lost… ☹ ---

Thanks for all the support guys. It really means a lot! For those of you having experienced something similar, please accept my condolences as well. (Especially you, Tupug - TWICE, I can’t imagine!) And ZipperJJ, {HUGS} to you as well. Just know you’ve done your best to make them a happy baby. That’s what gets me through these long days recently. So sorry for your loss. We had to euthanize out little Sydney beagle a week before my birthday, in July. She developed anemia, and two blood transfusions and a splenectomy couldn’t help her. We rescued another beagle two weeks later. The house was too quiet, Ginger was moping around looking for her sister, we just couldn’t take it. Winston has filled a hole in our hearts we weren’t sure could be filled. I don’t mean to take away from the OP’s story, but I felt your pain so much and want you to know it gets better. ---

She looks so happy in her pictures and you can tell she was truly loved. I have had to make the decision to put down dogs, cats and once, a horse. She looks like she was a very happy doggie. Rest easy Sadie Mae. I have a pup in her twilight years and I’m thankful for every day I have with her. She’s having some medical issues right now and I know it’s only a matter of time. Just know that you did good by her and when you feel the time is right, I hope you will give another dog a new chance at a good life. ---
