Today my baby graduates from high school. I’m proud of him. And yet I want to cry.

I never even finished Jr. High. Kids, you gotta love 'em.

Just thought I’d share that

I know that feeling. When my son graduated 5 years ago, I remember sitting in the auditorium, feeling proud as hell.

As the evening progressed, I found myself playing a movie in my mind. The day he was born, his first steps, his first day in kindergarden, his tonsil operation, everything.

After it was over, while driving home with my wife, (my son and friends went out to celebrate this rite of passage) I glanced over and saw that she was crying.

I asked her what was wrong. She said, “He’s not our baby anymore. And in the fall he’s leaving for college.”

Now I have to go through the same thing with my daughter next week.

Kids. Who needs 'em? They make you cry.

My babies have hit puberty, my big girl is going to be a sophomore in HS. “I don’t remember getting older; when did they?”

I can’t even imagine!! I’m amazed that my daughter will be 3 in August and I can’t believe that I had my son 9 months ago. The next milestones I’ll experience will be my daughter being potty trained and my son walking!! High School graduation seems so far away but I know it will be here before I know it.

Congratulations on your kids graduation.

Well, we went, we saw. I cried. Couldn’t help it.

Now what do I do ? My baby is offically an adult.

When he moves out I’m gonna chase the Lionsob around the house naked ! That should be fun.

As for those of you who haven’t reached this place with your kids yet, just wait your time’s coming.

Congrats!

We just went to our oldest graduation from grade school. Now we are officially parents of pre-teen going into Jr. High. I know it’s not the same, but still earth shattering.
I will second dropzone. I sure don’t remember getting any older.
My youngest is just potty trained and then my husband has the nerve to say college is next. I could have slapped him.

Ayesha, have fun chasing the Lion! I know my day will come to soon and yet not soon enuff.
