Quasi-Daughter reorganized my fridge again yesterday. She asked me if she could. I dunno about her. Something’s definitely wrong, but I’m not sure if I want her to get it fixed. It’s too handy. She also cleaned my table and straightened the couch cover. And lint-rollered he dining room chairs. ---

Ahh, anime. Well, first I guess I must thank **Anaamika** for waking me up to the fact that I am far more otaku than I thought I was. I’ve been comparing myself to guys who have been fans for years, and feel like a real n00b around them, but compared to the general public, I guess I’m a freak. Thanks, **Ana**! If you’ll settle for panty shots and fan service, there’s _Love Hina, Chobits, DearS, Burst Angel, Daphne in the Brilliant Blue_… Heck, most series offer _some_ fan service. And then there’s _Colorful_, which is nothing _but_ fan service. For series that Blow Stuff Up, most of the giant robots do a lot of damage, either knocking stuff over as they wrestle or with rockets and such. Or there’s a incredibly beautifully animated battle in the first few episodes of _Last Exile_; it’s like a late 1800’s sea battle, except fought by airships up in the clouds. Just amazing. Ok, that’s probably _way_ more than enough anime talk for y’all, so I’ll shut up now. Having previewed, I just have to add: **Lissla** , where do _find_ these people? How come no one comes and organizes _my_ fridge? Heck, I can’t get my housemates to do the dishes, even though they’re the ones using them; I’m never home anymore. I want to be you when I grow up. (One last anime thought: instead of going as Faye, **Lissla** , maybe you could do Chobits - I bet you’d make a darling Chii, and your husband could be Hideki. Just have him over-react to _everything_! 😃 ) ---

**MagicEyes** , from all accounts, Psycho wore the towel wrapped in the usual under-the-pits style with the sweatshirt over top. The scene was more than one kind of shocking when the campus cops showed up to escort her out, kicking and screaming. It’s still hard to know how sorry to feel for her. Psycho was so good at lying and manipulation, the line between crazy and fooling you was very blurry. Good roommates _are_ very tricky to find, it’s true. Out of the four I’ve had, only one was a real winner. Baked brie isn’t my favorite, either **Anaamika**. It’s the rind that tastes funky I believe, so I always cut it off before wrapping the pastry around the blobby of brie. Then it’s delicious. My apartment gets the smellies, mainly thanks to the cats-- it’s not really urine, just catty. Lately they’ve just been stinking up the joint so I put in those plug in thingeys (which I hate because they all stink like sweet chemicals which is only slightly less offensive than cat wee) and even close the door to their bathroom and turn on the fan for a good while. I fear the only solution is the arrival of fall weather and open windows. **Bumba** , do you know how to make Plug Ins in good smells? I would buy a crate of the clover scented and a bunch of lemon, too. This reminds me I have yet to order my clover soap, which also explains why it’s not here yet. Darned businesses, not providing psychic customer service personnel. It’s not _my_ fault intentions aren’t as good as credit card numbers. **Draelin** , the last two days your bangs have been reminding me of something, but I couldn’t guess what. But now I have guessed what! Back in the 80s, when everybody had poofy hair thanks to the invention of mousse (did you know the inventor was awarded the Nobel Prize in Hairology? 'S true), my dad was teaching social studies. He was up in the front passing back papers when there came wails and screetches from the back of the room. It seems one of his students had hunched waaay down in his seat to hide the fact he was lighting his Binaca on fire. The inevitable eventually happened and he set his poofy bangs on fire. They burned down to toasty frizzled stumps, plus most of his eyebrows and the eyelashes on one eye were singed as well. He was only pinked up a bit, no permanent damage, except to his pride. Stupid city kids, if he’d gone camping even once, he’d have known you don’t build your fire under low-hanging branches. Also, when she was a rather ickle kitten, Violet learned not to stick your nose anywhere near a candle flame. She didn’t have whiskers on the left side for a while, which was hilarious, once I’d gotten over the horror of nearly allowing my cat to experiment with self-immolation. All candles are now placed in hurricane lamps, just in case. I go back to work monday, drat! ---

Unfortunately, he’s also [foofy](http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a14/Draeleigh/khan.jpg), and frequently drops his tail into candle cups. The smell of burning fur usually tips me off before he even notices. Then he hides because he’s _vain_. ---

TGIF! My week of training is over. I had to do the brief for my team - my team being Dana and me. Shortly before I was due to talk, the Captain, as in our Commanding Officer, came in and plopped down in the chair beside me. Nothing like a little added pressure. :eek: My share of the brief wasn’t all that great, but it was loud. I know how to project, so I know the guys in the back of the room heard me. I had to strain to hear some of the others who presented… OK, yeah, I gotta big mouth. Wanna make something of it??? After class was done, I met with my next supervisor - she’s only been the senior engineer from that group since May, but she’s really enthusiastic. I found out what I’ll be doing, and it’s really cool. You’ll have to trust me on that, since I can’t talk about it. I did find out I’ll be going to Hurlburt Field for another training course some time - not sure exactly when. So Aug 29 I’ll be moving to my new cubicle. No more window. No more sitting next to Dave. On the other hand, no more training - I’ll finally be working. YAY! That’s all I’ve got, but that’s quite enough, isn’t it? ---

Well, the men ( :rolleyes: ) have just left for their all men, no women allowed backpacking trip. I’m sure they’ll have fun due to the copious amounts of booze that have been packed. Well, booze for everyone except my son…he’s turning 13 in December. All the poor boy has to kill his pain is water and Nestea Iced Tea mix. Things are nice and quiet right now, and I’m so looking forward to having a nice, quiet, RELAXING, do whatever the hell _I_ want, day. My Dad sent me some pictures of my Aunt. My goodness, I almost didn’t recognize her. She has cancer and it’s taken it’s toll on her. I guess she isn’t doing so well. She lives with her daughter and her husband and kids around D.C somewhere. I haven’t seen them in several years, so it was quite a shock to see that picture.
