I was starting to wonder why it took 21 posts for that to pop up.

I noticed a couple of people already mentioned the “hefes”, but as someone who spends way too much time analysing any wheat beer I can get my hands on, I have to recommend the ‘Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier’ over the ‘Franziskaner Hefe Weissbier’. Franziskaner is great, but just shadowed by Weihenstephaner IMHO.
Weihenstephaner is the king of wheat beers and rightly so, considering that the Weihenstephan brewery is the oldest in the world at some 1000 years old.
If you are a bit hesitant of the ‘hefes’, you can always try the Weihenstephaner Kristall Weissbier, which is almost identical save for the fact it’s a filtered beer.
Someone has also mentioned the Hoegaarden, which I also strongly recommend because it’s a bit lighter than the Weihenstephaner and is more suited to session drinking.
