Got around to seeing one of the “it” indie movies of the summer…\*My Big Fat Greek Wedding[I/]. It had been getting mixed reviews, but I was looking for an air-conditioned cavern to spend a Saturday, so I paid my 10 bucks to see it. And I LOVED it! It’s funny! It’s clever! If your family is even the slightest bit crazy (and who’s isn’t?) you will see them mirrored in this movie. And the lead actress is great. For those women out there sick of seeing size-0 babes as the only females portrayed in movies, the heroine in MBFGW doesn’t fit any of those stereotypes. Really refreshing. ---

I saw the movie a few weeks ago and I agree that it’s a breath of fresh air. It’s nice to see that a woman of normal weight gets to be a leading lady. I thought Lainie Kazan and the actress who played Aunt Voula(sp?) were great. ---

I loved this movie…it was hilarious! “You don’t eat meat?” _GASP_ “That’s okay! I make lamb for you!” “Please let that be the end of your speech…” And the house! Oh, this movie is killer. GOT to see it again! ---

this movie is beyond funny. take many kleenex, or puffs plus, you will be a wrung puddle. the church bits, as usual, were a bit off. i thought that they tiptoed over the greek- italian line a bit. just a great time at the movies. all the words in the world are greek, give me a word… going to greek school… so true. ---

I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard at the movies! And not only was it funny, but it was also full of windex-related helpful household tips. ---
