Well, I don’t want to scare you so I won’t mention the truly gruesome possibilities or the morbidity/mortality rate… but if you might have a pancreas problem please, please, please get it checked out and taken care of. Really. It’s an awful thing - I think they brought out a six-pack of morphine for the husband and said if that wasn’t enough they’d get more. Hospitals do not normally pass out morphine in that manner. You don’t want to experience this if you can avoid it. My husband had a mild case of acute pancreatitis.
Also, if something happened to you I’d miss your more scatalogical threads.
Sorry you have to deal with that, but man good thing you got it under some semblance of control.
I’ve often wondered. When I’m trying to be careful about what I’m eating ( I’m obese so that isn’t something I do year in and year out… ) and then have some evil EVIL cabo-loaded foods, I crash. Badly. An hour or so after.
If I am sitting when it hits I literally fall asleep. If out, I am logy and irritable and truly out of it for a while. Then it passes and I’m okay, or I nap in the office chair at home for a bit.
Never happens when I’m avoiding tons of sugars and carbs. Only when I indulge in them suddenly, or in a big way.
Wonder if I should have a fasting glucose test done? ( Or, just give up on carbo-loaded snacks forever and concentrate on the benefits of fried pork rinds )
