# My Boo-Boo went Owiee!

I’m just amazed at how many people took that as a satisfactory answer for ‘What happened to your foot?’

Last week I had a toe-nail infection that wasn’t healing on it’s own. I went to the doctor and had it lanced. Of course, then I had to wear the stupid bootie thing on my foot for a week while it healed. My big toe was much too sore to be squeezed into a shoe.

So I’m stumping around the hospital all week, and everybody asked:

(Ostensibly caring soul): What happened to your foot?

(Smartass sufferer): I had a boo-boo that went owiee.

(Ostensibly caring soul): Oh, ok.

They probably accepted that so easily because they wanted to back away slowly…
