Hi, I think that there is no perfect formula to derive at the exact amount of rent you should pay but I think it is fair that since your boyfriend is now moving in with you, you and your bf pay a higher rent then the other two girls. I think only splitting the utilities bill in 4 parts may not be the solution that your rommies will agree to. You have to site with them and find a solution amicably with their consent. ---

Ditto! Seriously now, I’m with everyone but the OP here. The only conceivable reason she has to be upset is they changed their minds mid-way through the agreement. That kinda sucks, but that’s how it crumbles cookiewise, plus it’s not like their request is in any way unfair. ---

And/or fucks at least one of the roomies while they’re still stuck in the lease so they have to put up with each other for a few months until the lease is up. (Never be the third wheel in a dating roommate situation. I knew a few college couples who had another roommate in the same rented apartment/house, then the relationship broke up well before the lease was up and there was much drama and awkwardness.) ---

My 2 cents as a mathematician that deals a lot with non-mathematicians. First of all, dispence with any equtable arrangements based on math.
