I just spoke to my brother. The docs have made some adjustments in **anySIL** ’s meds, and are going to wait another 24 hours to give the brain a chance to “gain some traction” (to stop overwhelming it with drugs and give it a chance to find its equalibrium). The prognosis hasn’t changed, but there is a new drug that, theoretically, should be able to stimulate activity in the brain (even tho it has yet to do so in actuality, the docs think it is worth the try). I will know more Friday afternoon ---

Fri 4pm: all the tests came back negative, so since \*\*anySIL \*\* had put it in writing (and had it notarized) that she did not want to be kept artificially alive, my brother instructed the doctors to unplug the machines, keep the pain meds up, and let her expire naturally. He is by her side as are his kids, and they will stay there til it’s over. Being 3 states away, I will not be there expect in spirit. Thank you all for your energies, it just wasn’t meant to be. ---

Her essence, the thing that made her who she was, died Monday night. And the tests done yesterday only confirmed that. She went quickly, in bed with her husband, and her last thoughts were of a vacation they were planning for January. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. I’m going to ask, now, that the mods close this thread so that it doesn’t drag on. ---
