my sympathies… I am so sorry that anyone has to go through this. The loss of life at such a young age is the worst possible experience for a loved one to bear. ---

☹ I am so sorry, **Modro**. Having lost family members also (dad, mom, dad-in-law, aunt, cousin, mom #2, and more) I remember those feelings of being lost and helpless and utterly not comprehending all too well. Time is the only thing that helps, and sticking _thiscloseandcloser_ to your family. As **Bosda** said, _go_. Hug your parents _right now_. They need you every bit as much as you need them, perhaps even more so. We are all here for you, **Modro** , and please don’t hesitate to call on any of us who have offered support and a sympathetic ear and shoulder. Including myself. In a larger but very real sense we, the SDMB community, are also a family. And as such, we all stick together, especially at times like these. Take care of yourself and your parents. Look to God if that is who you believe me, for I assure you, He is watching over you and yours. I will add my prayers for healing and coming closer than ever to the family you have left. Be as strong as you can when you can, and when you can’t, let your parents be there for you. Survival guilt is a painful thing Modro, the most you can do is recognize it and understand that it will be with you for a long time. The road is going to be rough for a while, but it’s best to travel that road with those you love. They are just as worried about you as you are for them. For the most part, the virtual community here at SDMB is the most compassionate and understanding bunch you could find. Feel free to share whatever you feel you need to share whenever you feel the need to share it. We’ll be here for you. ---
