I’m so sorry. My sister did the same 13 years ago. When things are bleak for you, remember that it will get better. And like **picunurse** wisely advised, keep talking, even if it’s just posting here on the Dope. A bunch of “internet strangers” are willing to listen and commisserate and offer virtual hugs. ---

My brother committed suicide about 20 years ago, so I know how it feels. My sympathies go out to you. Stay strong, it does get easier as time goes by. ---

I too have lost a loved one to suicide. I’m am truly sorry for you, your brother and family. I agree that talking, screaming, writing your brother a long letter, venting, therapy…etc. Anything that helps you come to terms with this is helpful. Don’t stuff it down deep inside of you. You have a right to be angry, sad, confused and it’s important to express these feelings. ---

The news today is no news. We have no idea when his body will be released, or anything else. I am sad, and tired and so, so angry. I will be coming here to vent. Everything is being kept as quiet as possible until my brother’s son can be told. Thank you all for being here. I don’t post much, but I feel a part of this community. There are some very caring people on the dope.
