For the last couple of days I’ve been trying to figure out where the cat pee smell in my bathroom has been coming from. Whenever I’d go in there to brush my teeth I could smell cat pee but no matter how hard I tried to locate the source I couldn’t. Then I realised; what is the one thing that is close to my nose when I’m brushing my teeth? That’s right! My toothbrush! Damn cat had peed on my toothbrush. It’s only the handle that smells… now! Probably because the cat pee in the bristles had been rinsed off into my mouth! Blech! How in the heck do you store your toothbrush that a cat can pee on it? So bizarre. Some plants/herbs (salvia, Russian sage) smell like cat pee to me. Are you sure it isn’t your toothpaste or something? ---

Cute photo, but EWWWWWWWWWWWW. Cats are kind of assholes sometimes. I can picture how this could happen if you have a large enough bathroom counter for the cat to jump on it. Thank God that mine usually stay away from the bathroom counter. ---

Actually, advice animals aren’t usually written in the LOLcat grammar. They also feature humans more often than animals and, as you’ve seen, are exclusively written in the setup-punchline format. The OP did it right and everyone who thinks he’s wrong are themselves incorrect. ---

He’s been known to pee in the basin of the main bathroom very occasionally. Recently I brushed my teeth and shaved in their instead of the ensuit because I had an early morning start to work and my partner was sleeping. I left the toothbrush lying on the bench beside the sink and I guess it became collateral damage. ---

My cat likes to rub herself along the bristles of our toothbrushes; I didn’t care for that much, but the peeing is so much worse. ---

I store my toothbrush in the medicine cabinet. I don’t have a cat, but I think I’m going to keep doing this.
