Covina: –parts of the TV show **Roswell** are sometimes filmed downtown. –the head-banging-in-the-car scene in the first **Wayne’s World** movie was also filmed here. –very close to a portion of Route 66. ---

Newberg, Oregon, I’m told, was once in the Guiness book of records for having the most churches per capita of any small town in America. I haven’t ever been able to confirm this, but I think it’s pretty likely true. That’s pretty much it. ---

Two choices: **Hillsboro, VA** : Being the smallest independent city in Virginia (population 96!) Being the birthplace of the mother of the Wright Brothers Being the childhood home of Madeleine Albright or… **Washington, DC** The capital of the United States A screwed up city government (The sitting mayor just screwed up his petition drive and won’t be on the democratic primary ballot…no foolin’.) Gucci Gulch (lobbyists and the law firms on K Street and environs) The White House, the Capitol, and all the other government institutions. Having museums and zoos that are completely free to the public. Emptying out every August so the tourists can observe without all the silly ‘locals’. Being better than Baltimore up the road. A world-class subway system. Being screwed out of a baseball team _twice_. ---
