Ugh! I don’t know what he eats, but it smells horrid and is making my stomach queasy. I don’t know if I can stand it, I might have to go on a long break or something.

Who else suffers from this or has suffered in the past.

When the previous girl used to be here she used to go out every Friday for Fish Fry.

I hate the smell of Fish Fry.

_holding nose_ Yuck!

One of my coworkers used to nuke tuna casserole.

She’s dead now, though.

Clam chowder makes me gag. My father and **OhFace** also eat Kim Chi. It smells like someone farted in a jar of cabbage and closed it real quick.

Apparently fish eaters do not understand how nasty fish smells to non-fish eaters. I’m a veggie, but I wouldn’t eat fish (particularly shellfish) if I were starving to death and it was the last food in the world.

Hey, _ **I** _ like kimchi! 😛 Actually, I like Korean food in general, although I don’t get much of it. Got my tast for it while in the Army, in Korea.

And I LOVE shellfish but I’d never dream of eating it in a work environment! Even if you like fish and are not in the mood the smell can sicken you. I think it’s rude to eat overly strong-smelling stuff at work, anyway.

Are the two, um, related?

Yeah, the fish-nukers are the worst. It’s pretty much an unwritten social rule in society at this point that you just don’t nuke fish at work.

I came in here to complain about my former coworker who used to microwave her fish, and she ate fish nearly every day. I like fish, but even I thought it smelled horrible.
Another one I don’t like is the smell of meaty tomato sauces. Like spaghetti and meatballs, or spaghetti with ground beef in it. Ew.

The unit microwave is in my office and I have 2 rules.

1. No microwaving anything I deem smell nasty: fish, cabbage, broccoli, etc. You can go to the break room microwave for that. Stink up the building, not just my office.

2. If it smells really good, you have to share. Especially popcorn. 😃

Popcorn that is left in the microwave too long will quickly fall under category 1.

Back when I was in computer science, there were a few people who would use the microwave in the student lounge to heat up something that smelled like raw sewage. The stench made the room unusable.

There’s a girl in my current class who sometimes eats her lunch during lectures. One day she had this thing that looked like a Pop Tart filled with shredded spinach. It reeked.

There’s a woman at my office who brings egg salad for lunch two or three times a week. I don’t agree with eggs at the best of time–I’ll only eat them raw, and only if they go straight down the hatch with no argument–but being boiled and reheated makes them smell like the worst kind of raw sewage pestilence visited upon the strayed pilgrams of a particularly vengful diety. Anyway, she sees fit to announce to everyone in the bay, “I’m having egg salad! Sorry, but I brought egg salad! It’s my egg salad that smells! Sorry!”, as if the aroma of a thousand rotting abortions didn’t already trumped itself an olfactory speed rivaled by only the fastest bullet.

Lady! Thimk when you’re orgamitizing your lunch, you stupid beetle-twat! (And this is about the least of all my portfolio of complaints regarding the woman, but since this isn’t a **Pit** tish sort of thread I’ll reserve my opinions.)

Also, microwave popcorn: in a word, _don’t_. It doesn’t smell good. It smells like wet dog. I don’t know where that butter-flavored gel they spray on there comes from, but I suspect that Pop Secret has its main processing facility in the vacinity of Love Canal, New York.

Should be a **Pit** thread…

CURRY. Who knew the smell of food could cause a migraine? I eat out everyday to avoid it. That woman’s lunch is costing me a ton of money.
