I’m very sorry to hear that, Otto. My condolences. I realize that you probably won’t read this in time, but do be careful on the roads. My grandma slid into the ditch twice today, and I’ve seen tow trucks go past the house three or four times today. They’re really slick today. Godspeed on your way to Iowa. ---

Hey Otto. I went through this a couple of years ago. My dad, before he died of cancer, stated that: “Heh - people live, people die.” I’m not trying to detract from your sadness or loss, but my dad’s own brave words, in the face of his demise, are inspirational to me. Life is brief, cyclical, and predictable. My thoughts are with you. ---

Otto, I know what it feels like. I lost both my parents about 15 months ago. I hope you don’t mind me mentioning it, but I found grief counselling very helpful (I’m still getting it now). ---
