Peace to you, your dad, your family and to your dad’s friends; I’m sure there’s still some shock that this has all come up in the last month and no one but him suspected a thing was so very wrong. The only advice I can think of to give is to get anything that could spoil out of his fridge or even just empty it but keep it plugged in and at a cool temp till it needs to be moved so it doesn’t get ruined by a bad odor. ---

I’m so sorry, Infovore. That sucks on so many levels. Many long years ago, my grandmother passed away on Christmas as well. In our case, since the family is Jewish, we opted to memorialize her based on the Hebrew calendar. That keeps it off of my sister’s birthday, which also happens to be today. ---

I didn’t want to say anything negative earlier. Stomach cancer is what killed my dad too, in 2006. It was only a couple of months from diagnosis to … the end. My condolences. Like you, I got to spend some quality time with my dad before he passed, and for that I’m thankful. Peace be with you. It gets better. ---

My Grammy died on Christmas. I don’t observe it any more, for other reasons, but I know it especially sucks to loose someone then. _HUGS_ I hope he did not suffer, & wish you peace & my prayers for your Family. ---
