So much sympathy. My most constant anger and soapbox ranting is about people (usually Mothers) speeding through school zones. We aren’t in that big of a hurry people. I’m with Johanna on this issue. ---

I’m so sorry for your loss, Johanna. Yes, posted speed limits are there for a reason, so follow them and don’t get cocky. The numbers are not arbitrary (well, for the most part, they aren’t) and are the maximum you should drive to be safe on that road while driving. You want to speed? Check out the local race tracks. Many offer opportunities to let you see what your vehicle can do, but in a much safer environment where you aren’t risking other people’s lives. ---
