# My Daughter's a Peacemaker

Jr. Intergalactic Gladiator #1 (I’ll call her Kiera) was just given the Peacemaker Award at her school. Once a month, teachers send in nominations to the principal and they pick three or so for the school.

So she’s not the only one to get it, but it’s pretty cool. I am very proud.

And she doesn’t get a [pistol](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_Single_Action_Army) as part of the deal.

A peacemaker (person, not gun) is actually a really good person to have around. You know, as long as they don’t have a tendency to feel responsible for helping resolve EVERY conflict. It’s just not possible, and leads to unhealthy mental stress.

Anyway, congrats to Kiera.

That’s cool. You should be proud that her teacher thought that she should be specially recognized like that. 🙂
