[Dave Bartholomew](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Bartholomew), an early rock and roll pioneer, was not only an American musician, bandleader, composer, arranger, and record producer, but co-composer of the nest innuendo songs of all time. He died on June 23rd at the age of 100. So, everybody sing in tribute to this legend: This little song, it ain’t so sad The cutest little song you ever had Those of you who will not sing You must be playin’ with your own ding-a-ling My ding-a-ling, my ding-a-ling I want you to play with my ding-a-ling My ding-a-ling, my ding-a-ling I want you to play with my ding-a-ling ---

Very sorry to hear. “The Old Gumbo” and “Big Mamou” are two of my favorites (though I can’t find them on Youtube, so no link). ---

One of the groups that covered _My Ding-a-ling_ was Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts. 😃 ---

The first time I heard “My Ding-a-Ling”, I refused to sing the chorus. Boy, did he get me with that last verse! ---
