# My dog has Psychokinesis powers

Feeding my Pomeranian puppy last month, a bag of dog treats moved across my kitchen counter top about a foot. What’s up with that?

Psychic dogs are nothing. I find it more impressive that you have a bag of dog treats capable of acting on its own initiative. How did you persuade it to feed your puppy? Is it suicidal? Does it do any other chores, or is it just too self-serving?

(You’re getting off easy, by the way. Most dogs don’t bother with telekinesis–they go straight for mind control. Why move the treats with your mind when you can make a human do it with a look?)

My dog learned Jedi mind powers pretty early on in life.

She spent her first 5 years in a house with 4 adults, where someone was always home and in the living room (where the back door is). So in order to go outside she just had to stand in front of the door and it would open [due to someone seeing her standing there.]

When she and I moved in to our own place, she had no sense of how to “ask” to go out so she just stands in front of the door. Unfortunately the door is nowhere near where I usually am, so she just…keeps standing, staring at the door, waiting for it to open.

Until I walk by and see her standing there and open it. She must then think her Jedi powers worked once again!

Psychokinesis is a noun, psychokinetic is an adjective. Thus:

My dog has psychokinesis.

or

My dog has psychokinetic powers.  
[/grammar!]

But what I really was wondering was how long you think it’ll be before she can fly the treats down to herself directly.
