It always amazes me when I read these stories about supposed grown-up adults acting like 2-year-olds. Not that I have any doubt that every word (even “umbrage”) in the OP is true, but _Christ_. My family and my wife’s family have our little bits of drama here and there, sure, but nobody I’m related to is even close to this petty. Thanks for reminding me how lucky I am. ---

No, my mother just told me recently. She never mentioned a word of it all this time. Apparently, her aunt has started talking to her again, so umbrage levels appears to be dropping. I still want to punch each and every one of them in their stupid heads. ---

I think you would be completely morally justified in doing do. My wife’s family had a feud over piddly shit between her parents and some battle axe great-aunt matriarch that went on for over 30 years and is only ending because everyone involved is dying off and the younger generations were not involved and don’t give a rats ass about things that happend decades ago. ---

The only thing to do is start a family feud. Usually that takes two families, but in this case that would just be overkill (heh). Get everyone to choose sides, pass out the shot guns, and let 'er rip. The winning side can celebrate with a round of beers, and if they don’t share them properly, they can divide up and start again. ---
