I, too have heard that the first year is the hardest. I’m not sure grief becomes less intense as mush as it becomes less frequent You & yours are in my prayers, **Marley**. ---

I hope that’s true. My mom read some time back that the second year is worse- maybe because you see other people moving on and they don’t say as much about anniversaries and things. I’m hoping that’s not the case. I did read recently that most people get more of less back to normal functioning between six months and two years after a traumatic event. I liked that better.
