I don’t know why. I just feel like throwing this out there. Maybe I’m fishing for a match with someone else. Maybe I just want to waste the 12 Kb of space that this post will take up.

In no particular order:

1. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
2. Return Of The Jedi.
3. Hunt For Red October.
4. The Abyss.
5. Miller’s Crossing.

These are movies that I can pop in at any time and just watch all the way through without feeling the least bit guilty.

1. Kwaidon
2. Prospero’s Books
3. Barton Fink
4. Love in the Afternoon
5. Monty Python & the Holy Grail

In no particular order, BTW.

I dunno. After seeing The Big Lebowski, I was really disappointed with Raising Arizona. I thought it would be much funnier.
As for me, I haven’t seen that many classics, so I’m hesitant to make a top five list. I’ll just name a few that I liked:

As Good As it Gets
Rushmore
The Big Lebowksi
13 Conversations About One Thing
Fargo
American History X

---

</div>

For the moment, in no particular order-

Welcome to the Dollhouse
Heathers
Rushmore
Badlands
Office Space

Dammit. Is that really all I get?

</div>

Though my list may change sometimes, I come back to these five more than any other movies (in this order):

Casablanca
Fight Club
Ghostbusters
True Romance
Goodfellas

1. Sid & Nancy
2. Chicago
3. SLC Punk
4. Bridget Jones’s Diary
5. Spider-Man

</div>

AG, I considered The General too; then I thought of Sunrise and Foolish Wives and The Crowd and Greed and decided, for now, to leave those in their own category. Purely an arbitrary decision.

And I’ve seen Ordet three times, and love it, but it doesn’t haunt me like Joan does.

Also, I was born missing my Kurasawa gland: he doesn’t do for me what I gather he’s sposed to. I think Rashomon is his best, and everything after that grows increasingly selfconscious and, I don’t know, less going on than meets the eye. But I understand that I’m probably wrong about this. I do like Derzu Usala.

And Cat Fight, Badlands is often in my top five.

Already amending my list to:

Casablanca
Fight Club
Ghostbusters
L.A. Confidential
True Romance

Dang, I can never seem to pass up these listy type thingies:

To Have and Have Not
The Maltese Falcon
Chinatown
Miller’s Crossing
The Big Lebowski

Hmmm, all noir or variations, two Bogarts, two Coen Bros. Obviously I’ve become a creature of habit.

List is constantly changeable but at the moment;

Ichi The Killer
Happiness
The Third Man
Galaxy Quest
Bridget Jones’s Diary

Give me about 20 minutes and I’ll have changed my mind

Three more honorable mentions, that were mentioned above.

Chinatown
Glengarry Glen Ross
True Romance
Big Trouble In Little China

These movies wouldn’t be in my top five, but definitely within my top twenty.
