[/QUOTE] Moderate independent checking in. I really, really hope we wonā€™t see much of the Republican-style slash-and-burn governing out of the Dems, regardless of how many seats they pick up. Somebodyā€™s gotta start acting like the grownups in Congress, and since the Republicans are obviously not up to the task these days, itā€™s up to the Dems to restore the publicā€™s faith in government. Donā€™t let us down. ---

The House is ours, the Senate is still up in the air. Iā€™m happy, but I donā€™t gloat. Not my style. Youā€™re welcome to my share of the gloating. CNN says one independant in the Senate, so Iā€™m confused. CBS said Lieberman and Sanders both won; which one is CNN not recognizing yet? ---

Iā€™m not a Democrat but as a liberal independent I will do a dance of solidarity with you. I voted for almost all Dems plus 1 Republican, 2 Libertarians, 1 for Mickey Mouse and 1 for Nick Hexum. ---

Problem is,that until campaign reform happens ,both parties have to kow tow to the money men. Therefore ,no differerence. ---

My wife and I cracked out the champagne and danced around the living room when CNN called the House for our side. My 9-year-old son spent the evening with us in front of the television calling out the numbers as the different races finished. Whoo-hoo! 12 years Iā€™ve been waiting for this evening! ---
