# My first 2006 check!

I just finished paying my bills, and wrote โ2006โ on a check for the first time: my rent check, dated 1/1/2006 (luckily, the year is still a higher number than my rent!).
It felt both weird and kind of cool. ๐
What was (or will be) your first check of 2006?

First cheque for 2006 is likely to be to either one of my businessโ sub-contractors, or to my lawn contractor. Depends on how fast the grass grows. ๐

Probably sometime in March Iโll remember to write 2006 on a check instead of 2005. :smack:
At least in the past, March has normally been when I can consistently remember that another year has turned. Can I blame it on the weather?
