# My first pit thread -- probably lame.

You’re the one not making any sense. There is nothing contradictory between those three statements – nothing whatsoever. They are three equally true statements that can quite easily co-exist; they are not mutually exclusive. You’re either doing a lousy job of explaining yourself, or you know you can’t but you’re sticking to your statement anyway in the hope that I’ll be cowed.

I’ll take your word for it that it was a typo, but I know many, many people who think “jive” is the correct word in that circumstance. They’ve misheard it all their lives, they’re familiar with the word “jive,” and aren’t even aware that “jibe” is a word. I do apologize if I was wrong.
