Cat + modern auto-spellcheck is really a great invention. Instead of character by character gibberish we get bad AI poetry. This is a really great “Piting”! Whatever those are. ---

I was in a store yesterday, and my mask fell off. Just sprang right off my face. EMBARRASSED! I almost felt as bad as if my pants had fallen down! But at least I’m not a chin-masker! Those bozos truly deserve a cat-pitting! ---

Wait, as I interpret this, this alleged “cat” deftly hit Ctrl-V with two paws, then did a little dance on the keyboard, then moved the mouse cursor over to “Create Topic”, and then stepped on the left mouse button with one delicate paw to submit the post. I would like to meet this talented cat, or at least see pics of it in action. Otherwise I call shmok on this whole story, and suggest that it was _ **you** _ who has been into the catnip while the cat wasn’t looking, and then tried to blame your addiction on an innocent animal. I think that not wearing a face mask in public is stupid, the reasoning behind it is often idiotic. But at least it is logically consistent. But the chin strap thing makes no sense - if you don’t want to wear a mask, just take it off. Wearing it below our mouth is overwhelmingly stupid. ---

At the camp I work at, the activities staff are supposed to help out with carpool. In practice, it’s about half a dozen bored teenagers saying “good morning” to kids and checking if their masks are on. Well, first week, I saw a counselor gently chiding an arriving camper for not having a mask on… while she herself was wearing a “chinstrap”. Then, as the boy was walking away, she went, “Omigod, I don’t have a mask on, do I? I didn’t realize my mask wasn’t on!” At least she pulled hers back on as soon as she realized, which sets her ahead of the allegedly adult shmoks in the OP. ---

Covering the nose is better of course and should be done, but it’s an exaggeration to say that it doesn’t do anything.
