Where do you live? You’re in America, right? Are you near any sort of metropolitan area? In my area, people give away large, flat-viewing-surface CRT sets often less than 10 years old for free on Craigslist when they get a flatscreen. ---

flatscreen CRTs don’t work well with the NES Zapper. I already have plenty of TVs. I see the free ones on craigslist all the time, but they are sometimes broken. ---

ok got it I had to change the VCR settings from TV to CATV I couldn’t do it on the first VCR I was using because I don’t have the remote, but I borrowed the downstairs VCR (which I can change because there is a Menu button on the front of the unit so I don’t need the VCR) so now I can watch all the channels. But I can’t actually use the knobs, which is the only reason I wanted an old TV 😕 ---
