I asked nicely, didn’t I? Credible it is, unless you’re calling my friend a liar. Why can’t you just drop it? I don’t know if she’s telling me the truth, but I choose to believe her. Isn’t that what good people do? ---

The worst way to keep people from commenting in your thread is to ask people not to. People have opinions and will give them, come hell or high water. Choose the advice you agree with, thank the people who responded, and move on. You can’t stop people from commenting, but it doesn’t do any good to get irked if they do. This thread was dead for three weeks before you picked it up again. Chances are it would have remained that way.
