I invite you to take the next 10 minutes and read [“Marrying Up”](http://www.guernicamag.com/fiction/marrying-up/) by Diane Cook, one of the best short stories I’ve read in I-don’t-know-how-long. It’s kind of like Ray Bradbury borrowed Italo Calvino’s typewriter.
