I have a sister, the family baby in fact. Who has dealt so much crap to her family. Her 4 kids and inlaws, her 2 ex’s. It wouldn’t take 2 seconds for me to decide to turn her over to police about WAY less than this. But the OP has to do what he can live with. That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have a serious conversation with her. Get a handle on it, Superdude. Let us know how it goes. I wish you peace in whatever you do. ---

But did they do anything? Did they really carjack her? Make a stink. Was the carjacking just part of sister’s theatricality and did she have GF give them the car to protect Sis? Make a stink. Was there no carjacking and GF still has it? Make a stink with her. ---

I’m glad this ended so well, but please stop all contact with your sister-in-law. She obviously thinks she can do whatever she wants and it’s never her fault. I am glad to hear the update, but I am still concerned with the description of how the police responded. Especially since the update included that the GF was kidnapped by drug dealers. That does not strike me as a situation that can be ended with “she doesn’t want to press charges”. ISTM to be a fairly serious dereliction of duty, especially if there is a suggestion that they ignored a kidnapping because the victim was part of an inter-racial couple. Do you know if the outcome was that the drug-addicted sister betrayed your GF over a drug debt because your GF told you so? Again, it is certainly good that it is now over with your GF home. He said early on “she’s not close to her family for various and sundry reasons”. Obviously this is the various and sundry reasons. He didn’t say “everything is ok”, he said he was trying to talk his girlfriend into pressing charges. If you’re lucky enough to never have to deal with drama triangle crap, you won’t know this, but this is perfectly consistent with addiction and drama triangles. ---

Yeah, I don’t know why the internet detectives are suddenly all over the case saying something sounds fishy. First of all, of course we don’t know every last detail of what went down. **Superdude** is probably still figuring it all out himself. Second, what **Zyada** said. His statements about her not being close with her family are perfectly consistent with the situation we’ve been presented with. Third, this guy’s been around this board for 18 years and doesn’t appear to have a history of telling tall tales (although I admit I didn’t do a super extensive search, just a quick skim of past posts). Based on all that, I think it’s reasonable to take him at his word. Isn’t this the same board that let **umkay** yank them around for nearly a month? Calm down, give the guy some room to breathe. If it’s all a big hoax, I’m sure it’ll come to light eventually, but I just don’t see it. ---
