**VunderBob** , it could be worse. It is, after all, above freezeing.
Shingles getting better, most scabs have fallen off, and it no longer feels like ants are running about under my skin.
This weeks crisis is that the Crestor they put me on had a little unintended side effect–it knocked by blood sugar north by about 125. I have d/ced the Crestor, just wondering how long it will take to wash out of my system. Readings north of the mid 200’s eight hours after having a half of a sandwich on lo-carb bread is NOT good.

I am alive, not very comfortable, but alive. Initial prognosis is “not good” but the gynae won’t be drawn further until the test results come back next week. Apparently (if I can decipher his handwriting), my discharge instructions specify “will need MRI of abdomen and pelvis”, so I am not overly hopeful at this stage.

Caffeination is in progress; I have et a small banana and some cottage cheese and will soon head to the grocery store to purchase the Thanksgiving meal accoutrements. I’ve got most of everything already, just need to pick up some stuff and get my regular groceries as well. LOL It’s always something!

I brought my dad’s girlfriend up here. Her perfume is so strong that it was literally burning my throat. Another thing making me want to gag is that they have ‘matching’ scents that they wear. :rolleyes:

**Bobbio** , that sucks. At least it’s not a river of water under your house.
We had a nice time with our friends last night. We grilled ribeyes and chicken breasts and one of our friends brought some kind of wild rice mixture with vegetables. It was good. We played 99 and neither I nor Mr. T **aters** won a single game. It was still fun, though.
My coffee is done. Time to get a cup and wake the hell up!

At that time of night/morning, it was.
Success! The patient’s dissected aorta was repaired, and my house lives. I missed my calling as a vascular surgeon.
I got smart this time. I bought double of everything I needed, then got the same amount for the next size up, and THAT saved my bacon. I"ll swear on a 100’ stack of bibles that the broken line was 3/4" PE; when I fixed it, it turned out to be 1", so I still had the right stuff and wouldn’t have to make the 90 minute round trip back to Franklin. 🆒
Time for a celebratory nap.

Hi, guys!! We got here safely yesterday afternoon, and we’ll be leaving on Friday. Tomorrow is our turkey day and MIL’s surgery is on Tues. This dial-up is slower than slow, so I don’t intend to post any more… maybe. Just didn’t want you to worry.

So, I knew there’d be incense this mornin’ because today is the Feast of Christ The King. However, there is no such thing as too much incense according to young Priest. Thus, we had _ **INCENSE** _ this mornin’.
I have a sinus headache. So, it’s Benadryl[sup]TM[/sup] and nappy poo time.

Congrats on fixing the plumbing, **Bobbio**! Definitely sounds like no fun.
I’ve been pretty lazy most of the day, although I’ve collected recycling and put it out on the curb and have organized some laundry. Might even put it in the washer in a moment. Am also cleaning out the fridge.
Well, and lazy has included sitting around knitting. I’m about 1/2 done with my first sock. Yay!
Off I go to get something else done…

Okay good. I just needed some verification that I wasn’t seen as a heartless bitch last night. It’s been so long since other people’s drama hasn’t become my drama that I’m a bit unsure about the way normal people do things.
I wasn’t able to train New Girl the way I wanted to because she was looking up directions for her trip to Milwaukee tonight. I’m also unsure about the wisdom of me getting all teacherly Ms. Spaz on her when I’ll have to work with her in the future. I don’t want to turn into the old Morning Lady who ruled with an iron fist. I’m open to people doing things their way. Just put everything back in the place it belongs when you’re done (and don’t interrupt me when I’m counting the drawer).
**swampy** , send young priest to my bathroom. I need some _ **INCENSE** _ to cover up the old cat litter smell until I can get to de sto’ later this week for more.
Tomorrow I work a 10-hour day. I once again petition you all to pray for my eternal soul. Why do I keep volunteering for the bitch shifts? Oh yeah, $$$$ and job security.

Nope **Swampy,** he happens to like “Spam Platters” like he got in Kauai, from Burger King, of all places. He also ate Spam Mosabi. Spam, rice and seaweed all stacked on top of eacher. Bleh. It looked disgusting. You find it EVERYWHERE over there.
He was a happy man when I made it for him this morning, so I guess that’s a good thing.
I’ve been a very lazy girl today. All I’ve done is laundry and play on the computer.

I think I’m tired too. I just read that as _ **Cathoholics** _. My dad is doing better today. Endoscopy this morning and so far no more bleeding. Still, it’s tough to sleep at night when you’re afraid that the phone might ring.
