# My Grumpy Morning MMP

Eeesh. Where the heck did my weekend go?
I’m almost nearly packed for our trip to Mexico. Huzzah. The Boy, on the other hand, has not yet begun… I’m assuming he’ll shovel everything into his suitcase on Tuesday night and hope for the best (which is why I pack all the important stuff in my bag, natch). I’m irrationally afraid that I’ll somehow forget to pack my bridesmaid’s dress, though, because it can’t go into the bag until the last minute to avoid excess wrinkling.
We had the GodCatParents over for din dins tonight as a pre-emptive thanks for providing catsitting services. I made carrot fritters, zucchini fritters, salad and a ricotta tart with pear topping - an odd combination, perhaps, but it did the job as far as using up a lot of the perishables in the fridge.

See, that’s just asking to be pummeled by a horde of militant vegans with flames of righteous indignation shooting out their ears. Especially if it’s made with non-organic ground beef with processed cheese on a refined white flour bun.
Whenever I shop there, I make sure to wear natural fiber clothing, tread softly lest I step on bugs, and pack reusable unbleached cotton bags to carry my stuff home (you’d think plastic bags were made of babies the way they look at you if you ask for one)

Hope **rosie’s** just sleeping in. I’m just getting started on my journey to bake cookies for Thanksgiving. Saturday I bought some new cookie sheets and cooling racks a Home Goods. I also bought an ice cream scoop and some nice stainless dry measure cups. Today I’ll buy the cookie ingredients and probably make the first batch. I’ll let you all know how they come out. Keep your CD drives ready. 😉

I got my copy of the Pioneer Woman’s book today. Baking beckons!
Also, next week is 1st December so that’s officially Mince Pie Day in the office, and we have a taster night at Fat Club. My mum gave me a Fat Club recipe for some kind of almond cake that you make with chickpeas - sounds a bit odd but she said it tasted ok so I might have a go at that too.

Evening all. MRI of my abdomen and pelvis scheduled for tomorrow morning. Apparently, the gynae spied a lesion (3cm x 4cm x 3cm) on my cervix, so this needs more than just a “frozen section”. Joy! I get to spend the evening taking laxatives and hovering near the toilet!

We’re back at it. He’s bleeding again. I’m here at the hospital and we’re waiting to find out if it will be another endoscopy or actual surgery. ☹

Whoever named that one powdered laxitive “Go-Lytely” (sic?) should be shot a little bit at a time starting at the fingers and toes and moving in from there. After that, turn the remainder over to me and I’ll make it hurt more.

More hugs for **Pie** and **Dotty** , along with a heaping helping of feel-better vibes.
I have a bad case of the Mondays. I actually left the house wearing two different shoes this morning!
In my defence, I own two pairs of very similar-looking black pumps, with the exception that one pair has kitten heels and the other pair has a wedge heel. I noticed as I was dashing for the bus, but turning back to change into a matching pair would’ve meant getting to work late… so I went all the way to work with my mismatched shoes and changed once I got to the office (thank Og I keep spare shoes at my desk).

So, he’s not bleeding from his stomach. This means either he’s not bleeding and the blood in his stool was just old news or that he’s bleeding from his intestines. Either way, all we get to do is wait and see what his next blood count is.
