# My hometown has made the news.

Kind of a bizarre story, really.

What’s going on with these kidnappings? Are there really more than usual, or does it just seem that way due to the heavy news coverage? There were a few kidnappings over the last few years in the area, but I don’t think any made the national news. It seems getting the word out is a good thing, though.
