Never had them with gravy, but I do like hot English mustard. I have it with bangers, too. ---

Eggnog? I just learned that real eggnog has to sit in the fridge for a month and “talk to itself”. This recipe is from my boss at work. Eggnog You will need two bowls. 1 quart heavy cream 3 cups liquor (1 cup rum, 2 cups bourbon or just 3 cups of either one) 6 eggs ¾ cup sugar pinch of salt Beat until very light 6 egg yolks ½ cup sugar pinch of salt add the liquor and the cream beat well Beat until stiff 5 egg whites (throw away one egg white) Beat in ¼ cup sugar Carefully combine the two mixtures until thoroughly blended ---

Sure, ageing it will change it some, but it’s great right away. Just be sure to taste it while adding the booze, as the flavors won’t have a chance to mellow with age. You can even serve the booze on the side if you want kids to help drink it up. Or just separate some out before you fortify it. ---

Slightly Burnt Toad in the Hole and Eggplant Fritters-- 5 eggs total. The T in the H is very, very reminiscent of a Dutch Baby I made for the fam except instead of sausage it was strawberries and was dusted with powdered sugar. And wasn’t burnt. That’s absolutely fair. One thing I’ll mention is that in my area at least, while going into the store is sheer madness, the order ahead and pickup, while doing a brisk turnover, seems the smart way to get stuff you need. At least, as long as it isn’t anything you’re worried about having to substitute, or where being able to personally check quality/freshness is important. Although it’s a small benefit, because in my area almost all the groceries are part of mini strip malls, and just getting in and out of them is an exercise in road rage. Still, it’s worth doing for a post Xmas, pre-New Years egg-stravaganza! ---

You can use eggs to make a simple face mask. IIRC the whites help tone skin & tighten pores, while the yolks are moisturizing for dry skin. You can also use them in your hair, but be sure to rinse with cool water. Those of us who like hit showers risk scrambling the eggs directly on our scalps! ---
