My son has saved all of you from a long, long thread of me posting pictures of things I make with eggs in it by buying the fixins for a dozen eggs eggnog for him to share here and at the firehouse. The 'naners were one day away from the garbage. My husband said on Friday he was gonna make some to take to work. He did NOT think it all the way through because he had 3 bananas and thought he would make three loaves. And then he turned _himself_ into a loaf and spent the holiday doing his Al Bundy impersonation all the way down to his hand in his sweatpants. We all had a great Christmas. ---

Banananana bread. I made two loaves for Christmas family dinner. Easiest recipe ever. I don’t hardly measure any more. One egg, nah, add another. Enough butter, nah, add some more. Sugar, honey, why not both. Flour, just add until you get the right consistency. Vanilla? That looks good. Raisens, sure, or not. Macadamia nuts, sure thing. I hid one of the loaves! Mine/ours, wife and I will enjoy it watching movies. ---

My MIL is about to turn 92 in a few days and doesn’t cook much anymore, but she used to make banana bread in a 9"x13" pan and send half of it home with us when we would travel up to see her (to make sure we didn’t starve to death on the way home, I guess). Very nice for breakfast with a big ol’ cup of coffee. ---

The American Egg Board wants everyone to buy lots of eggs, so they have a bunch of egged-up recipes. Biggirl Quiche. Surely I’m not the first person to throw all the stuff I threw in there but I feel confident I am the first person to name it “Biggirl Quiche”. On the down(?) side, I put so much stuff in there that I had to cut back on the eggs. 3 eggs-- 10 total. Good thing they last forever because I haven’t even broken a dozen yet. That looks awesome! And yes, quiche is one of those foods where you can take a look in the fridge, see what needs to be used up and just throw it in there.
