His dream since he was a small child has been to be a country music singer. He’s got a great voice (if I do say so myself!) but he hasn’t really done much formal performing since high school. He and a friend have been writing and playing and singing for several years now. They’ve been recording some things now these past few years. Currently they’re hoping to make their own CD and market it independently. I had to talk him into making the Facebook page, it took some effort! I think he is a little scared of taking the steps that will put him out there. Anyway, here is the link. Have a listen! It is still a work in progress. Feel free to leave comments! **Jelymag** , we’re always happy to help folks advertise their art/music/writing type of endeavors, but we do ask that you ask permission first (and put something in the OP that so indicates.) While we’re delighted to support artistic efforts, we want to watch and limit advertising (unpaid advertising for non-artistic stuff is almost always a no-no.) So, please, you and everyone: in future, please ask permission in advance before posting such. I didn’t even realize that this would count as advertising. They aren’t selling anything, though I do see now it says money doesn’t have to be involved. I apologize and will ask permission in the future. I was just excited to ask someone to listen! I usually lurk a lot in the music threads and I know we have a lot of musicians here like **NoCoolUserName** , **sleestak** , **Musicat** , **An Arky** , **Moe** , **WordMan** , **SiXSwordS** , **Euthanasiast** , **Ogre** , and **Le Ministre de l’au-dela** and I enjoy listening to their stuff when they post it in threads like [http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=457908](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=457908). It didn’t occur to me to get permission. I was excited to have something to share, even though it’s not MY talent really. Sadly, I am a music geek who sucks at music!
