> Not to be a guy or anything, but don’t all of the of the creams/makeup/soaps that women do multiple times a day REMOVE the natural oil from the skin, causing the dryness to begin with?

No. Only things meant to remove oils – cleansers and toners – remove oil. Makeup seals in oils, which is why makeup can be the bane of a naturally oily-skinned woman’s existence.

Whoa!! Wait a minute folks. Are y’all telling me women aren’t naturally soft skined, hairless and pretty smelling creatures??

And all this time I thought all those countless hours that all my past girlfirends have kept me waiting while they were in the bathroom “getting ready” was just a conspiracy to either a.) piss me off or b.) Report back to the Mother ship to let them know if the men of planet Earth are ready for a take over yet. Forever dooming us to a lifetime of holding shopping bags at the mall and going to the grocery store at two in the morning for a box of tampons…
Still I’m keeping my eyes on you Gals… 😉

Not exactly. Many inexpensive hand and body lotions have alcohol as an emulsifier. Those lotions become self-fulfilling prophesies. They feel good going on, but they don’t last, and your skin is just a little drier after, so you put more on.
I don’t think its true of make-up, though.
I don’t use much of anything. I was rewarded for past lives with good skin in this one.

Yeah, I might care once a season to pay attention for an entire game, but do I care who made the spectacular tackle that forced a turn over in the third inning of the Stanley Cup play offs which sent the Chicago Cubs on to the Superbowl for the first time since they won the America’s Cup in 1942?

And you call yourself a girl? 😃

It’s all just boys rolling in mud to me (and I don’t even know what sport you are talking about).

This may explain why you have dry skin. 😃

Short answer…men have thicker skin that produces more oil.

Long answer, they do it to annoy us.

Irishfella uses some godawful pharmacy own-brand value line shampoo&conditioner 2-in-1 that cost about 1/5 as much as mine, and he still has shinier hair.

He doesn’t know what exfoliate means, and he never gets zits.

He washes with a mouldy old flannel he’s had since I’ve known him, and uses that really hard, cheap soap, and he still has baby soft skin.

I have soft skin, but I use about 15 products and about an hour a week to get it like that.

OK, start yer engines (_NASCAR_) and off we go:

_made the spectacular tackle_we got football\*,
_in the third inning_ baseball,
_the Stanley Cup play offs_ hockey,
_he Chicago Cubs_ baseball again
_the Superbowl \* football_ again,
_he America’s Cup_ and yachting.

And I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that whole “turnover” thing is a reference to something too, but I’m not sure.
I would hide my head in shame as a disgrace to my gender, but DogDad thinks he’s the luckiest guy on the face of the earth. I’ll not only allow him to have billiards on the TV, I’ll actively _look_ for it and turn it on myself. _AND_ I think that hockey tickets make a darn good Christmas or birthday present.

\*football: American-type Football, not that sport that non-American types call “football” and we call “soccer”. The “soccer / football” playoffs is the World Cup.
