I’m glad I came upon this thread. I’ve got a lot of good information from it. My stepmother is going through the same thing now, or actually quite a bit more severe. She entered the hospital three weeks ago with internal bleeding, which they thought was caused by excessive Ibuprofen that she had been taking for back pain. I visited last weekend and just couldn’t believe it. She looks decades older than her 58 years. Her abdomen is greatly swollen, her eyes are livid yellow, she’s in a perpetual daze, slurs her speech, and can’t even sit up in bed. Yet they’ve kicked her out of the hospital into a convalescent home saying that now she’s “stable” she just needs some time to rehabilitate. I’ll drive up again this weekend and help my dad get going with some of the suggestions everyone has been putting up here. faithfool … my best wishes to you and your husband. I’m so sorry to hear about your stepmother **Greg**. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be dealing with it if it reaches the point she’s at. I’ll be keeping her in my prayers. I also hope we’re both recipients of better news soon. Thanks for posting. ---

They are putting Jaceson back in the hospital today for severe blood loss again. And this was after his most recent doctor’s visit (yesterday) had gone well. The specialist said he’s lost so much, that if he’d had a wreck he could’ve died. Will keep everyone updated as soon as I can. ---
